Dive London dominate podium places late on at National Age Groups day two
June 27, 2025Dive London dominated the podium late on in day two of the GoCardless Swim England Diving National Age Group Championships 2025.
The final two events of the day saw Dive London Aquatics Club secure four of the six medals on offer to take the club’s tally up to six for the day and nine overall so far.
Sienna Robson rounded the day off nicely with her victory in the Female Group C 1m event and she was followed closely by her teammate, Alice Morskyj, who took silver.
The pair were separated by just 2.3 points – with Robson’s impressive final dive, a forward double somersault in the tuck position, making the difference.
A commemorative silver medal was awarded to Edinburgh’s Claudia Gibb, with Mollie Cotter (178.65) of Southend Diving then completing the podium in third.
Just moments before, Noah Baker and Connor Craydon claimed silver and bronze respectively in the Open Group B 3m event for Dive London.
However, taking gold in that one was Plymouth’s Will Heath, who is no stranger to a national title after taking the Open Group B Platform crown at the championships in 2024.
Maddie Elliott earns gold
Plymouth also enjoyed golden success in the Female Group A Platform as Maddie Elliott, Dacorum’s Scarlet Hallam and Dive London’s Myia Richards battled it out once again, after already forming the podium in the 3m event.
This time around, Elliott (258.75) took the top spot ahead of Richards (248.50) and Hallam (238.85) in third. Whilst Elliott won her second gold and overall third medal of the competition, Poppy Reid (238.85) also secured a commemorative silver medal for Edinburgh.
After winning two gold medals on the opening day, Southend Diving’s Beau Barry returned to the Sandwell Aquatics Centre for yet another victory on day two.
With a total score of 165.30, he won the Open Group D 1m event ahead of Corby Steel’s Leonard Soltoianu (163.75) and teammate Parker Halsey.
With Blake Scroxton finishing fourth, Southend Diving didn’t just achieve a double podium finish, but also had three of the top four in the event.
Meanwhile, alongside the Open 1m event, the Female Group D 1m event saw Alana Ojok from Dive London Aquatics Club triumph, topping the podium with a final score of 180.10 to improve her personal best by almost 20 points.
Beth Moxton from Sheffield (161.35) in second and Leeds’ diver Betsy Crossley (141.70) in third completed the podium together with Eva Gibb (148.30), who won a commemorative bronze medal for Aberdeen.
Double podium and Sophia shines for Star
Following the Group D 1m events, the Open Group A 1m event saw Hayden Low from Southend Diving (277.45) dominate.
With his score, he did not just improve his personal best by more than 10 points but also won with a 23-point gap to second place Fred Crossley from Leeds (254.35). Low’s teammate, Noah Havis (246.30) finished in third place to secure another double-podium finish.
Darlington ASC took their first title courtesy of an outstanding performance from Evan Cooper who won the Open Group C 3m event with a total score of 214.70.
An astonishing 26-point gap to second place Seth Greentree (188.20) from Plymouth, resulted in Cooper’s success after his ninth-place finish in 2024.
Ryan Church (181.40) earned the bronze medal for Plymouth in a tight battle against Southampton’s Rami Cooper (181.20), who fell short by just 0.20 points.
Star Diving Club Guildford’s Sophia Harris was back on the podium in 2025. She was the only diver in the Female Group B Platform event to score over a total of 200 points on her way to gold.
Her final score stood at 200.10 as she finished ahead of Southampton’s Samanta Barr (186.10), who took the top spot for the 1m event on day one.
Plymouth’s Poppy Jones (181.60) concluded the podium in third place, earning her first-ever medal at the Swim England Diving National Age Championships.
