The Institute of Swimming has developed a new suite of four interactive online courses, enabling you to deliver practical sessions that focus on the development of a good technique across all four strokes, from non-swimmers to improvers.
The Introduction to Teaching Front Crawl, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly online courses have also been brought together as a bundle and free for Institute of Swimming Members. All members will be receiving information on how to access their online learning via the new Members Online Learning Hub via email.
Each e-learning contains videos and interactive activities which are designed to enhance your learning experience. They cover the stroke cycle, progressive practices and how to assess and correct common faults.
Each section contains knowledge checks throughout to help you gauge your progress and provide feedback on your learning. At the end of each module, you will have the opportunity to test your understanding of the specific stroke fully in the final assessment. Those who achieve at least 80% will be able to download an electronic certificate.
We have also included downloadable resources for you to retain for reference.
The new online learning provides a clear progression through our stroke technique CPDs.
