This is an assessment only route you can take to gain a Swim England teaching qualification if you already possess the skills and knowledge needed.
Anyone who already has experience of teaching swimming using the Swim England Learn to Swim Programme and can provide evidence of meeting the qualification specification without tutor support or learning resources.
We run monthly cohorts for each programme, with applications closing on the 14th of every month.
You will need to provide evidence of meeting the qualification specification criteria. This is done through our online assessment platform where you will need to familiarise yourself with the specification and then map your evidence against it.
Those who decide to join RPL are given four weeks to gather their evidence and upload it to their workspace. We recommend that before you start the programme, you read through the specification and gain permission to film yourself from your facility and participants.
If you would like to be considered for the Swim England Level 2 Teaching Swimming RPL or combined certificate, you must complete an initial assessment to ensure you are suitable.
The initial assessment is open for bookings for the first three weeks of each month. You will gain access to your online workbook which includes a set of questions which you will have one week to complete.
You will be given feedback and notified of your assessment decision by the 7th of the following month.
If successful, you can then book onto RPL programme.
