Swim England confirms dates for 2024 national water polo events

Dates for Swim England’s water polo national events for three age groups in 2024 have been revealed.

The GoCardless Swim England Water Polo National Age Group Championships for U17s and U19s has been scheduled for Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 April.

Preliminary rounds are due to take place on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 February for the U19s, while the U17s matches will be on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 March.

In 2023, Cheltenham won the U17s girls’ crown and West London Penguin took the boys’ trophy.

The U19s competition saw City of Manchester retain the girls title and Worthing triumphant in the boys’ competition.

Meanwhile, the GoCardless Swim England Water Polo U15s National Age Group Championships will once again be held across two weekends.

This will be on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 November plus Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 November.

The venue is still to be confirmed as is on what weekend the open and female fixtures will take place.

City of Manchester regained the open U15s title last weekend at Coventry’s Alan Higgs Centre.

The female competition is being staged on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 December.

Entry information plus ticket details for the 2024 championships will be confirmed in due course.
