Who will be crowned Open U15 National Age Group Champions in 2025?

The GoCardless Swim England Water Polo U15 National Age Group Championships take place at the Manchester Aquatics Centre this weekend (15-16 November), with 16 teams preparing to compete for the 2025 open title.

Twelve months on from West London Penguin’s impressive run to the championship, the London side arrive in Manchester as the defending champions – but they’ll face strong competition across all four groups as teams look to make their mark on the national stage.

Defending champions lead the way

Penguin headline Group A, where they’ll meet Cheltenham, Radcliffe and Worthing. After securing the 2024 title, they will be aiming to become the first team in more than a decade to retain the U15 open crown.

2023 champions, City of Manchester, front Group B alongside Colchester, Sedgefield and North London. Manchester have reached multiple medal matches in recent seasons and remain one of the sides to watch as they chase a return to the final after falling short last year.

National talent spread across four groups

Group C features a strong mix of clubs, with Caledonia, Barnet, Newton Abbot and Watford all looking to progress from a highly competitive group.

In Group D, Croydon, Exeter, Lewisham and Sheffield complete the line-up, with all four teams hoping to build momentum through Saturday’s fixtures.

How the competition works

All group-stage matches will take place on Saturday 15 November, with the group winners automatically advancing to the medal play-offs the next day when the action continues.

On Sunday 16 November, all teams return to the pool to decide final placings – culminating in the gold-medal match and medal ceremony.
