University of Exeter Water Polo Scholarship

Map of University of ExeterThe University of Exeter runs competitive water polo teams in both the BUCS and UPolo leagues.

While preference is given to nine other sports, scholarships are available for top water polo players. There are multiple gym and swimming facilities available at different university campuses.

University of Exeter Water Polo Scholarships

University of Exeter Water Polo Scholarships are available to undergraduate and postgraduate students, although preference is given to the university’s nine ‘focus sports’, of which water polo is not one.

Scholarships will be tailored to suit each individual although a bursary of up to £2,000 a year is included for sporting expenses, depending on applicant’s ability and potential.

A package of support services and coaching is provided to scholars, equating to an equivalent of more than £3,500.

Individual High Performance Bursaries of up to £500 may be offered as an alternative to a University of Exeter Water Polo Scholarship at the discretion of the University of Exeter High Performance Unit.

Sports Facilities at the University of Exeter

The University of Exeter’s has top class gym and fitness facilities at both the St Luke’s and Streatham campuses in Exeter.

Sport Park on Streatham campus benefitted from an £8.5 million investment in 2012 which saw the Russell Seal Fitness Centre equipped with top-of-the-range equipment including a Synergy 360 station and Life Fitness machines.

There is also a 30-station gym at the St Luke’s Sports Centre with Life Fitness cardio machines, resistance weights and free weights.

There are two pools on campus – four-lane indoor pool at St Luke’s Sports Centre and a four-lane 25m outdoor pool, open in Spring and Summer, on Streatham campus.
