Cumbria ASA County Team Champs

Having been relegated from Division One in 2014, Cumbria will be looking to seal their place back in the top flight after an eighth place in Division Two last year.

Winning races wasn’t a problem for the Northern county in 2015 as Rebecca Fell (14/15 Yrs 100m Butterfly), Edward Baxter (16/17 Yrs 100m Breaststroke) and the boys’ 16/17 Yrs Medley Relay quartet all brought home maximum points.

Barrow swimmer Fell moves up to the top age group for the first time this year, with her PBs from last year’s event ranking her high in both 100m Breast and 100m Fly.

Elsewhere, Cumbria have a group of talented backstrokers looking to make an impact at this year’s Championships.

Barrow’s Owen Minnican and Ulverston’s Nicola Capstick have set PBs to put them at the head of the entry times for the boys’ and girls’ 14/15 Yrs 100m Back respectively.

Meanwhile, Cockermouth’s Pierce Greening is the only swimmer in the line up for the boys’ 12/13 Yrs 100m back to have broken 64 seconds.
