Hertfordshire secured their best result for three years in 2015, finishing eighth overall in Division One after 12th place finishes the previous two seasons.
But while they breached the top 10, they were one of just four counties in Division One not to pick up maximum points for a single event last year.
This means Jessica Jackson and Martyn Walton were the last swimmers to secure race wins for Hertfordshire. They touched first in the girls’ and boys’ 16/17 Yrs 100m Freestyle respectively in 2014.
Reese Housden was one of Hertfordshire’s busiest swimmers last year, finishing no worse than sixth across two individual events and two relays.
The Hatfield swimmer is set to be unleashed again, this time in the 14/15 Yrs age group. He comes into the event in good form, having won 100m Free silver and 200m Free bronze at this year’s British Summer Championships.
Bishops Stortford’s Ellie Mitchell also made a couple of finals at the British Summer Champs this year, including in the 100m Backstroke. She was third in the 14/15 Yrs 100m Back at last year’s County Team Champs.
