Swim Wales East ASA County Team Champs

After a near miss in 2014, Swim Wales East secured promotion from Division Two last year, finishing second behind local rivals Swim Wales West.

The Welsh region’s youngest age group impressed on the day with Rhodri Williams claiming maximum points in the 12/13 Yrs 100m Breaststroke, Megan Allison finishing first in the 12/13 Yrs 100m Butterfly, and the boys’ 12/13 Yrs 4x50m Medley Relay claiming a third win.

City of Newport swimmer Allison is back and up in age group for this year’s Championships, having won 200m Fly silver and finished fourth over 100m Fly at this year’s British Summer Championships.

Teammate Scarlet Major was the only 12-year old in the field as she finished sixth in the 13/14 Yrs 200m IM at her maiden British Summer Champs.

City of Cardiff’s Kyle Booth is one of the region’s top male swimmers, having topped the podium in Sheffield this summer with 200m Breaststroke gold.

Training partner Theo Savva also landed British Summer Champs medals, grabbing bronze in both the 200m and 400m Individual Medley.
