Diving national event dates confirmed for end of 2022-23 season

Swim England have released their national event dates for the end of the 2022-23 season.

The published list of events includes the Swim England Diving National Age Group Championships which will take place at Ponds Forge, Sheffield from 22-25 June.

Southampton Diving Academy will come into the competition as the defending champions after they took home the Dawdon Shield Trophy with 18 medals across the four days of competition last year.

The Swim England Diving National Skills Finals will also return this summer and will be hosted by the Swim England North East Region after their successful running of the event in 2022.

This competition is scheduled on the weekend of the 15-16 July, Leeds confirmed to host the finals once again.

The Swim England Diving National Skills Finals are held for divers who have achieved the qualification standard at a regional qualifying event.

For divers aged 8-9 years, 10-11 years and 12-13 years, the National Skills Finals features poolside, 1m and 3m skills competed in a 12-dive circuit.

Whilst for divers aged 14-16 years, the event is competed in a dive circuit composing of both 1m and 3m skills.

British Swimming will host one of the first diving events of the year when the British National Diving Cup heads to Edinburgh in February.

The event is set to welcome Britain’s best divers with national titles across 3m springboard and 10m platform contests are decided, in both individual and synchronised events.

The competition takes place inside the Royal Commonwealth Pool from 2-5 February.
