Pathway divers win more than 30 medals at British Elite Junior Championships

Divers on the Swim England pathway won more than 30 medals at the British Elite Junior Championships in Plymouth.

The event which was held at the Plymouth Life Centre from Thursday 13 to Sunday 16 April saw the best young divers from across the nation competing to secure national titles.

It featured athletes aged between nine and 18, split into three age categories, with 78 medals across 22 events available across the four days.

And Swim England pathway athletes secured 32 of those medals – with 13 gold, seven silver and 12 bronze won by the 21 pathway divers that entered the competition.

Four of those were by Dive London’s Jorden Fisher-Eames who secured two golds and two bronze medals in the South West.

He won the Group B Boys Platform final by almost 20 points with a total of 398.25 and also finished bronze medallist in both the Group B Boys 1m and 3m events.

Fisher-Eames also teamed up with Noah Penman to win the Boys 14-18 Synchronised Platform.

Juliette John impressed when winning three medals of her own.

She joined forces with Hannah Newbrook (Dive London) to win the Girls 14-18 Synchronised Platform by almost 50 points.

John won individual gold too with a win in the Girls Group B 1m competition and narrowly missed out on a third gold in the Platform event by 1.65 points.

She lost out to Skye Fisher-Eames (Dive London) who won both the Girls B Platform and 3m titles.

And Simeon Greig swept the Boys C events with gold in all three of the 1m, 3m and Platform events.

He headed the field throughout the competition and was the only competitor to break the 300-point mark on his way to the 3m crown.
