Geoff Stokes steps down as South East Region Masters Manager

Geoff Stokes is set to retire from his position as Swim England South East Region Masters Manager after 13 years of service.

The popular masters swimmer and Spencer Swim Team member has been responsible for ensuring that the very popular short and long course regional masters events take place each year.

He has maintained strong links with the regional board and feels he has served his time well.

Geoff said: “I have enjoyed this role, but I feel it is time to pass on the baton to someone else.

“I will make sure I provide full support to the next person who takes on this role.”

Geoff remains active in the masters community both in and out of the pool, winning eight medals at the recent FINA World Masters Championships in Gwangju.

His departure opens up an opportunity for a new Masters Manager to volunteer in the South East.

If you are a member of a club in the region and have a strong understanding of the needs of masters swimmers, you may be the perfect fit for this role.
