Get ready for the FINA World Championships in Hungary

Registration is open for the 17th FINA World Masters Championships 2017 in Budapest, Hungary from the 7-20 August 2017.

The event features five aquatic disciplines, swimming, diving, water polo, open water swimming and synchronised swimming. The pool swimming events will take place in the new Dagály Swimming Complex and in the Hajós-Széchy Pool from the 14-20 August 2017.

The Dagály Swimming Complex is a state of the art water sport complex which was purpose built to allow Hungary to host the World Championships this year.

Budapest will play host to some of the world’s best Masters swimmers, who will have their sights set on gold medals, as well as world records.

There will be sixteen swimming events in total, held for fourteen different age categories. To find out the qualifying times for each age group and event, please click here.

The deadline for entries is Thursday 29 June. Due to the expected number of entries FINA reserve the right to close registration for any event before this date if necessary. If you want to compete, get your entries is as soon as possible.

Masters look to capitalise on 2015 success

British Masters swimmers had a fantastic World Championships in Kazan in 2015. They collectively tallied up a total of 16 gold medals and two world records.

Trafford Metro swimmer Emma Gage broke two world records for the British team. She claimed the titles in the 25-29yrs 100m Freestyle and 50m Butterfly events.
