The annual event took place from 14 – 15 November and saw representatives from every county compete at the same time across five regional events.

Yorkshire, who won maximum points in 18 events, came out on top with 1606 points, followed by Warwickshire with 1553 points and Hampshire with 1326 points.

Jessica-Jane Applegate, who set a world record at the British Summer Championships earlier this year, represented Norfolk at the East region event in Newmarket, scoring maximum points for her county in the Women’s 18yrs+ 50m Freestyle.

Diane Ford, who won a clean sweep of Breaststroke golds in the 70-74 years age-group at the World Masters Championships this year, scored maximum points for Hampshire in the Women’s 65yrs+ 50m Breaststroke.

Ford’s World Championship teammate and fellow gold medalist, Graeme Milne, was also in action over the weekend. Milne narrowly missed out on maximum points in the Men’s 55yrs+ 50m Butterfly, touching the wall only  a tenth of a second behind Herts’ Barry Chandler.

Well done to all the Masters swimmers who took part in the ASA Masters Intercounty Competition 2015 .
