About Craig

I am currently studying at Ashton-on-Mersey Sixth Form for a BTEC Level 3 in Business Studies and I’m looking to go on to university in September 2015.

I have been swimming since I was three, initially through my local borough swimming lessons and then at aged nine I joined my local club, Trafford Metropolitan Swimming Club.

While working my way through the pathway from club development level to National squad, I have experienced a variety of competition levels and in 2012 I moved to the borough performance squad – Swim Trafford.

I currently compete at national and international level as a Para-swimmer. As well as a swimmer, I have also qualified as a Judge 1 Swimming technical official and was successful in being selected to attend the National Talent Camp in 2014. Outside of swimming I am a keen Para-triathlete, competing at regional level.

The weakest event of my triathlon is running, however, I still love the sport. I believe that young people are the next generation to run clubs and so I believe volunteering from a young age is essential to gain important skills.
