Thunder head coach, Laura Hesketh, praised her squad’s commitment throughout the weekend:
“The girls delivered a brilliant all‑round performance to take the title. As coach, I’m incredibly proud of how the girls stepped up, we talked about recreating the boys’ winning ways, and they matched that standard with real determination and togetherness. Their consistency, teamwork, and competitive edge shone through every game. Five wins from five says everything about their focus and quality all weekend.”

Event Coordinator, Joanne Mountfield, highlighted the wider advancement of the Inter Regions:
“We reached a significant milestone at this year’s championships, with all eight teams led by female Head Coaches. Alongside three female referees on the pool deck, we created an environment where these inspiring role models could thrive and lead by example for our young athletes.
“Thank you to all our volunteers this weekend. Their dedication and enthusiasm helped create a brilliant experience for every player, coach, official and supporter.”
