North West Tigers go in search of back-to-back Inter-Regional titles

North West Tigers will be bidding to win back-to-back Inter-Regional Championship titles this weekend.

Two years after being crowned U16s winners, the Tigers’ boys team will battle four other sides for the top spot in the U18s Division One matches taking place at Blackpool’s Palatine Leisure Centre on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 January

In 2021, the Tigers boasted a 100 per cent record as they finished four points clear of South East, West Midlands Warriors and South West Sharks.

They face the same trio again, plus Scotland Saltires who were promoted from Division Two in 2021.

Scotland replaced London Sharks in the top flight after also winning all of their games in the U16s competition.

In Division Two, London will be looking to make an immediate return when they take on East Midlands, Wales, East and the North East Steelers.

These matches are taking place at Watford’s Woodside Leisure Centre.

East Midlands will also fancy their chances of taking the Division Two prize after finishing behind Scotland two years ago, with their only defeat coming at the hand of the promoted side.

The U18 Girls’ Inter-Regional Championships takes place on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 February.
