NYCS14 Day Two: Pundits Picks

Ross and Sarah Pundit Picks

You’ll hear Commonwealth gold medallists Ross Davenport and Sarah Ruckwood over the commentary every day from Ponds Forge.

But who do these experts think will be the pick of the swimmers in tonight’s finals session?

Find out in our #NYCS14 Day Two Pundit Picks:

“As always I’m struggling to pick just one so I’m going to say two. The first it the Men’s 200m backstroke. I was very impressed with Charlie Boldison this morning doing a PB to qualify fastest. He had fantastic underwater kick. He used it well in the heat and swam hard which is fantastic to see. I’m also looking forward to the 100 Fly because Tilly Gray will be in there. She was out at the Commonwealth Games and I’m interested to see what she does back here at Nationals.”

“I’m really looking forward to the men’s 200m Freestyle tonight. There are a couple of guest swimmers who looked really sharp in the heats. Canada’s Jeremy Bagshaw was fastest but Velimir Stjepanovic has a personal best of 1:46 and he went 1:48 this morning. He’ll be representing Serbia at the European Championships later this month so I think he will go faster tonight.”
