Peaty joins host of stars at 2015 Winter Meet

Peaty set to race at ASA Winter Meet 2015

The stars will be shining in Sheffield as double World champion and World record holder, Adam Peaty, confirms his entry to the ASA National Winter Meet (25m) from 17 – 20 December.

With only a few days to go until entries close on Thursday 26 November, the inaugural ASA short course meet looks set to provide an exciting four days of racing with a host of star names racing for gold.


Peaty, who was recently named Swimming Performance Athlete of the Year at the ASA Aquatics Awards 2015, will line-up at Ponds Forge alongside six London 2012 Olympians, including Michael Jamieson, Aimee Willmott, Rebecca Turner, Jemma Lowe, Lizzie Simmonds, and Anthony James.

Some of the country’s top youngsters have also confirmed their entry for next month’s Winter Meet.

Charlie Attwood will be looking to impress in the breaststroke events after taking bronze in the 100m Breaststroke at the European Games earlier this year.

Attwood’s FINA World Junior Swimming Championships teammate, Rosie Rudin, will also be one to watch in Sheffield.

Rudin, who set a new World Junior and Championship Record to take 400m IM gold, will be looking to looking to lay down a marker before attention turns to qualifying for Rio 2016 next year.
