Sixteen clubs to battle it out at Virtual National Age Group Championships

Sixteen clubs are set to battle it out in the Swim England Artistic Swimming Virtual National Age Group Championships 2021.

The event will be streamed via the Swim England YouTube channel on Sunday 7 November at 2pm, making it the second instalment of the virtual series.

The first event of the series saw Walsall, Reading Royals and Rushmoor artistic swimming clubs all win gold in the virtual Swim England Artistic Swimming National Junior and Senior Championships.

There has been a total of 71 entries ahead of this weekend, but similarly to the previous event, the top 12 routines will be shown via the stream.

These will be across the following eight events:

  • Solo (12 & under)
  • Solo (13 – 15 years)
  • Duet (12 & under)
  • Duet (13 – 15 years)
  • Mixed Duet (12 & under)
  • Mixed Duet (13 – 15 years)
  • Free Team (12 & under)
  • Free Team (13 – 15 years)

All 12 routines will be shown and scored before announcing the results, with the winners of each event being invited to join the stream for an interview with our commentators, Karen Thorpe and Katie Clark.

Also up for grabs is the Shacklock Trophy, which will be awarded to the competitor who is registered with a Swim England Club and has achieved the highest total of routine scores in the solo, duet and free team events.

The winner can be from any age group at these championships. The previous two winners were Walsall Synchronised SC’s Robyn Swatman in 2019 and Madeleine Brown of Reading Royals in 2020.
