Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games diving day one finals live blog

The first diving medals of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games will be won at the Sandwell Aquatics Centre tonight – and five Team England athletes are in contention for podium places.

Jack Laugher and Jordan Houlden are in action in the Men’s 1m Springboard, while Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix, Lois Toulson and Eden Cheng are competing in the Women’s 10m Platform.

Laugher, who is defending champion having won the 1m title at the Gold Coast in 2018, and Houlden are up first from 6.05pm.

That is followed by the Women’s 10m Platform final from 7.29pm with Spendolini-Sirieix diving last each round having topped the leaderboard in the preliminary round.
