Date confirmed for National Age Group Champs and National Skills Finals to return

The date and venue for the 2022 Swim England Diving National Age Group Championships has been confirmed.

The Plymouth Life Centre will play host to the event, which will run from Thursday 30 June through to Sunday 3 July.

This will be the first diving event run by Swim England to return to its usual format since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.

As in previous years, the format will see four different age groups competing in the 1m, 3m and Platform competitions.

Entries are due to open in May and Lottie Thompson, Swim England Diving Leadership Group chairperson, says she is ‘excited’ about the event returning to the diving calendar.

She said: “It is great that the National Age Group Championships will return and I’m excited to see some superb diving on display.

“Some of the top age group divers from across England will be competing in Plymouth and we’re looking forward to four action-packed days.”

City of Sheffield were the top club back in 2019, they won a total of 18 medals and were followed closely by Southampton Diving Academy with 14. In third place was Luton Diving Club with nine medals.
