Meet Christian Green from Braunstone Swimming Club
July 1, 2026There’s more to a swimming club than the pool itself. It’s about community, support and finding a place where you can enjoy the sport at your own pace. Hear how Braunstone Swimming club has made that difference for Christian Green.
For Christian, what stands out most is the welcoming and supportive environment. Whether you are returning to swimming or looking to improve your health and having people around you who encourage and motivate you can make a real difference.
“My favourite thing about the club is everybody who’s in it. Everybody’s got a like-minded attitude. Nobody takes it seriously. You know, we have great friendships. And actually, that’s part of it. It’s a part of a social sport as well as being a physical sport for the individual.”
Swimming clubs for adults offer that sense of belonging. Swimmers come together to train, support each other, and enjoy being active in a positive and inclusive setting. It is this combination of coaching, having fun, and exercise that keeps members like Christian coming back.
If you are thinking about getting back into swimming or trying something new, joining a local club can be a great first step.
