Applications open for Swimathon Foundation Community Grants

10 February 2014

Grants from the Swimathon Foundation offer funding to groups and individuals who provide and promote swimming in their local community.

Grants between £300 and £2,500 will be awarded to support innovative and sustainable projects which are helping more people participate in and enjoy swimming.

Applicants must demonstrate in their application how the funding will allow them to:

  • Introduce people to swimming who would otherwise not swim
  • Increase the frequency that existing swimmers go to the pool
  • Improve the swimming experience for new or existing swimmers

In the past year a variety of initiatives, including swimming programmes for those with special needs, participation schemes by youth groups, clubs for the elderly, swimming clubs and disability groups have all benefitted from Swimathon Foundation grants.

Applications are invited from projects that are supported by pools participating in Swimathon 2014.
