2025 GoCardless Swim England National Summer Meet day six medallists

Day six of the 2025 GoCardless Swim England National Summer Meet concluded with joint golds, lifetime bests and a showcase finals session.

Nothing could separate Luca Plater (Mid Sussex Marlins) and Jason Mahmutoglu (Brompton) in the Open/Male 18 Yrs/Over 50m Butterfly. They both touched the wall in 24.74 seconds to share the prestigious title.

The remaining Open/Male 50m Butterfly titles were all taken by the same winners as the Open/Male 50m Freestyle on day five.

William Attwood (Fareham Nomads), Jaden Leo (Derby Excel) and Henry Dean (Swim Bournemouth) took their second gold medals in as many days in their respective age groups.

City of Leicester achieved two consecutive golds in the Female 16 Yrs and 17rs 200m Breaststroke. Sophie Stratham-Gill took the win in the 16 years age group by under two tenths of a second.

Moments later, Darcie Platts produced a commanding swim in the 17 years age group, smashing her lifetime best by nearly three seconds and finishing on 2:31.24.

Northumberland and Durham Performance Programme took more silverware in the afternoon finals to finish as the most successful club of the competition overall.

Benjamin Beale, Alice Forrest, Tia Johnson and Nadine Wilson all concluded their competition on the podium, and the North East club return home with 24 medals.

Isabella Shering claimed the last available title of not only the National Summer Meet, but the 2025 season, in the Female 18 Yrs/Over 200m Butterfly in her home pool.

The Sheffield swimmer edged out Burnley Bobcat’s Lucy Turner by just under a second, finishing on 2:19.80.
