Cheshire dominate Division 2 to take home victory

In a thrilling display of talent and teamwork, Cheshire emerged victorious in Division 2 of the 2025 GoCardless Swim England National County Team Championships.

With 532.5 points, Cheshire have made a statement in winning the division with a 86 point gap ahead of second place Cambridgeshire (446.5)

With over 900 swimmers from 30 counties competing across two divisions, the atmosphere was electric. Cheshire’s swimmers, coaches, and supporters brought unmatched energy to the pool deck, waving flags and cheering every race with pride.

The win secures Cheshire’s promotion to Division 1 for the 2026 championships, placing them among the elite counties in English swimming. Their performance was marked by consistent top finishes, strong relay showings, and standout individual swims that showcased the depth and quality of the squad.

Cheshire will be joined in the first division by Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire (419 points) and Leicestershire (415 points) next year.
