Eleanor Robinson set a new world record on the second day of the British Summer Championships in Sheffield.

She lowered the best time in the Women’s S6 50m Butterfly by more than 0.2 seconds as she touched home in 35.22 to take the gold medal.

Two British records were also set in the heats and then broken again in the finals  at Ponds Forge.

And the Dartmoor Darts swimmer lowered that time even further in the final as he finished in 29.73 to take the gold medal ahead of St Ives’ James Quinn (30.64) and Portsmouth’s Oliver Kettle (30.68).

Archie Goodburn also set a British age group record in the heats of the 17-18 Years 50m Breaststroke before bettering that time in the final.

The Warrander Baths swimmer finished in 28.24 in the heats and then shaved 0.2 seconds off that time to win the gold medal in 28.04 ahead of City of Derby’s Gregory Butler (28.14) and Oliver Taverner (28.64).
