Glasgow 2018 relay hopes high

Brodie Williams, James Wilby and Jacob Peters were joined in the men’s 4x100m Medley relay race by Scottish team mate Duncan Scott.

They qualified for a spot in this evenings final in third position with a time of 3:35.52.

Tonight’s final will give Adam Peaty the chance to complete the quadruple-gold feat for a third consecutive European Championships.

Relay final for the Women’s 4×100 Medley

The Women’s 4x100m Medley relay team also qualified for tonight’s final with ease.

Siobhan-Marie O’Connor and Freya Anderson along with Scotland’s Kathleen Dawson and Alys Thomas of Wales did one better than the men.

They touched in second with a time of 3:59.98, just 1.58 behind Denmark who clocked 3:58.40.

The final pool heats of the competition also saw Max Litchfield, fresh from his bronze in the 200m IM, progress to the final in second place in the 400m IM race.

Holly Hibbott and Ellie Faulkner also made tonight’s finals. They will compete in the 400m freestyle race.
