Commonwealth para-swimming qualification at National Winter Champs

Swim England will hold an additional chance for para-swimmers to qualify for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games at December’s National Winter Championships 2017.

Athletes who intended to use the rescheduled IPC World Championships to improve or obtain qualifying times for the Gold Coast will be able to use the event in Sheffield instead.

Eligible athletes have been sent personal invitations to compete in the heats of their relevant qualifying event.

Swim England has applied for an IPC Licence to make sure that the times can be used for qualification purposes.

The announcement of the final para-swimming team for the 2018 Commonwealth Games will take place following the National Winter Championships.
