
Home nation talent on display at 2026 National Championships
April 24, 2026The Swim England Artistic Swimming National Championships return to Nottingham this weekend, 25-26 April. Harvey Hadden Sports Village will once again host the two days of elite domestic competition.
The event will see artistic swimmers from across the country come together to compete in a wide-ranging programme including technical and free events at the highest national level.
Competition begins on Saturday with the Free Solo, followed by the Mixed Technical Duet, Acrobatic Routine, Technical Duet and Free Team events.
The championships continue on Sunday with the Technical Solo, Free Duet, Mixed Duet and Technical Team competitions, bringing a packed weekend of artistic swimming to a close.

Several members on England and Great Britain’s senior, youth and junior squads will be competing for their home clubs, providing spectators with the opportunity to watch outstanding performances across the weekend.

Among them is Imogen Sutton of City of Birmingham SC, who was recognised as Artistic Swimming Talent Athlete of the Year at the 2025 Swim England National Awards. Sutton’s events include the Free Solo and Technical Solo events, as well as the Technical and Free Duet alongside Alyssa Anderson.
Ranjuo Tomblin of Rushmoor Artistic SC is set to be a familiar presence across the weekend, competing in the Free Solo, Technical Solo and Mixed Duet events.
Tomblin will team up with Olympic silver medallist Isabelle Thorpe of City of Bristol SC in both the Mixed Duet and Mixed Technical Duet, with the championships providing valuable competition time ahead of their trip to China for the next round of the Artistic Swimming World Cup, taking place from 1–3 May.
City of Bristol SC will be well represented throughout the championships, with Holly Hughes and Loya Cenkci competing in both the Technical and Free Duet events, while Thorpe and Kate Shortman are also entered in the Technical Duet. Swimmers of the club will additionally feature across the solo and team events.
Just like in previous years, a number of historic trophies will be presented across the weekend, including the Redwood Trophy, Spencer Trophy, Helen Elkington Trophy, Holland Trophy, Mary Black Award, Gemma Yates Trophy and the Colin Lushington Trophy, recognising standout performances and achievements across the championships.
