
2025 GoCardless Swim England National Summer Meet day four medallists
August 1, 2025 Swimming NewsDay four of the 2025 GoCardless Swim England National Summer Meet brought even more lifetime bests as swimmers brought their A-game to Sheffield.
Wycombe District cemented their place at the top of the overall medal table as Luke Ibbeson took his second gold in as many days in the Open/Male 18 Yrs/Over 100m Butterfly.
Hazel-Anne Carter also produced a sensational swim in the Female 17 Yrs 400m Freestyle to take the win by more than five seconds. Wycombe have now won a total of 16 medals so far in the competition.
However, it was Crawley’s day at the top of the podium on day four. Cheered on by an enthusiastic contingent, their swimmers delivered in close competitions.
Finn Jakins, Saskia Spencer, Constance Logan and Peter Artemenkov all took gold in their respective events by under a second.
Crawley have now claimed seven medals – and every single one of them has been gold.
Maidstone’s young swimmers continued an impressive meet, with Elise Butler winning two medals in under two hours.
She started with a gold in the Female 12/13 Yrs 400m Freestyle, and rounded out the evening with a silver in the Female 12/13 Yrs 100m Backstroke.
Romeo Ball took his third gold of the competition with a win in the Open/Male 12/13 Yrs 200m Backstroke. He won with a time of of 2:21.93, just over a tenth of a second ahead of City of Birmingham’s Jason Li.
