Adam Peaty lands Euro Meet title at first meet of 2018

Adam Peaty swept to 100m Breaststroke gold at his first long course meet of the 2018 season.

Competing at the Euro Meet in Luxembourg, the Olympic champion stopped the clock on 59.62 to add to his victory in yesterday’s 50m Breast.

Peaty will hope to defend his Commonwealth title for Team England later this year at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.

James Guy also won his second gold of the meet, taking the touch in the 100m Butterfly.

The double Olympic medallist had already lifted the 200m Freestyle title in Luxembourg, as well as winning 200m Butterfly bronze on day two.

And he reached the podium for the third time with a 52.31 effort in the 100m Fly final – 0.2 seconds ahead of Olympic silver medallist Laszlo Cseh.

Aimee Willmott wins 200m Individual Medley gold

Aimee Willmott collected a third gold for the English contingent in Luxembourg as she emerged victorious from a battle in the 200m Individual Medley.
