Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games day one finals live blog

It’s the first finals session of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games with Team England’s swimmers in the hunt for seven potential medals.

There’s also nine swimmers taking part in semi-finals in this evening’s session so there’s plenty up for grabs over the next three hours of swimming.

This evening’s action sees 14 Team England swimmers in action in the Men’s 400m Freestyle Final, Women’s 400m Individual Medley Final, Women’s 200m Freestyle Final, Women’s 100m Freestyle S9 Final, Men’s 50m Butterfly Semi-Finals, Women’s 50m Breastroke Semi-Finals, Men’s 100m Backstroke Semi-Finals, Women’s 100m Butterfly Semi-Finals and the Men’s 200m Breastroke Final.

Team England’s will also take part in the Mixed 4x100m Freestyle Relay Final in the last event of the session.

The action from the Sandwell Aquatics Centre gets underway at 7pm.
