Ed Baxter – Saturday 20th March 2021 from 11am to 12 noon

“Ed is a former member of the British Swimming World Class Training Programme & was Adam Peaty’s training partner between 2015-2020 and trained at the Loughborough High-Performance Centre from January of 2016-2020, with his main event being 200 breaststroke, with a short course specialism.

Throughout his junior career, Ed was a multiple British Record Holder and National Champion as well as winning the 200m breaststroke at the Youth Commonwealth Games, along with a silver and a bronze medal in the 100m and the 4x100m medley relay. In 2018 Ed picked up the English Senior Short Course Title in the 200m breaststroke.

Ed is a Level 2 qualified Swimming Coach and while still competing in 2018, Ed worked for Mel Marshal as a coach on one of her training camps before setting up his own 1-2-1 coaching company supporting swimmers across the U.K. Ed’s business also has a number of international clients who travel to the UK for his training camps.

Ed & Adams close friendship continued out of the pool with Ed currently being the Managing Director of the AP Race Brands alongside his own coaching. Ed was instrumental in setting up the sold-out UK and US tours of AP Race Clinics which hope to make a return in the future post Covid-19.

In this talk, Ed will talk about his personal journey of success as a junior athlete and transitioning to senior level, as well as his experience at international competitions representing his country and choosing to step away from the sport as an athlete to become a businessman and entrepreneur” Sign up HERE

Tony Azevedo – Wednesday 24th March 2021 from 8:30pm to 9:15pm

“Tony is considered one of the best water polo players in the world, making his Olympic debut at 18 years old. Tony has an accomplished career, spanning over 25 years.

After graduating from Stanford, he went on to play professionally in Italy, Croatia, Montenegro and Brazil. Some of his achievements to date include:

– 5 Olympic Games including a Silver Medal in 2008 in Beijing
– 5 Pan American Game Gold Medals (1999, 2003, 2007, 2011 & 2015)
– 8 World Championships
– 4 Fina World Cup Tournaments
– 12 World League Super Finals
