SE London Regional Long Course (Summer) Championships 2023

• Field of Play Team and Event Operational Team Volunteers – Angela Eguakhide has been tasked with managing this event-critical workforce – Door/Spectators, Results Runners, Merchandise Sellers, Refreshment Delivery and Competitor Marshalling to name but a few roles. • Spectator Seating – no payment facility (card or cash) for specator seating will be available at either venue for these Championships. Bookings must be made in advance of arriving at the venue entrance using the links avaiilable on the meet webpage (above). On confirmation at the door (by scanning a Q-code you will receive post-booking), each Spectator will be given a wristband to indicate their right to exit and re-enter the venue for the rest of that day. To be completely clear – there will be no possibility to attend and pay on the day at the venue.

• The 2023 Championships differ from previous years in that they are event-driven rather than age-category driven. This means that all award categories will swim the same event on the same day i.e., Boys 200m Freestyle will happen once during the meet schedule and all award categories (11/12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17&O) will compete in that single event. There is no longer an Age Group weekend and a Youths weekend.

• Coaches and Team Managers are reminded that they must display current Swim England Accreditation to gain entrance to the Deck/Ground Floor areas at the venues. The link to secure this accreditation is available on the meet webpage.

• The Region is offering Coaches and Team Managers the option to pay for Food/Drinks to be available to them at each venue. This must be booked in advance using this link – https://form.jotform.com/230441663344350 – this link will be made inactive two days after the entries closing date to enable the food order to be evaluated and booked. Make sure to get your orders in before the link is disabled.
