Swim England London Events & Public Health Advice COVID-19 Update6 March 2020
In light of the current outbreak of novel coronavirus (COVID-19), Swim England London has reviewed its current position, and issues the following statement to share information to ensure all possible precautions are taken:
All of our current events are still going ahead as planned, and the welfare of anyone attending Swim England London events is of paramount importance.
Ahead of the competitions, please take note of the latest information from the Government and Public Health England regarding novel coronavirus (COVID-19) which can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-information-for-the-public
We would like to take this opportunity to remind participants, coaches, volunteers and spectators of the hygiene precautions that can help reduce the spread of infection. The latest NHS guidance on this can be found here: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/
Should government advice change, members and spectators should be aware that Swim England London cannot offer any refund or recompense to athletes, coaches or spectators for any expenses incurred in relation to an event cancelled due to coronavirus.
Swim England London will be continuing to plan for our events as normal but we will be following Government guidance and assessing risk as appropriate.
