Swim England London Region Diving Skills 2023

On Saturday 22^nd April, the London Region hosted the first diving skills event in the region since Covid-19. This year’s event saw fifteen clubs and 151 divers from across London, the East and South East come together at the London Aquatics Centre for this National Skills Finals qualification event, making this the largest subscribed skills event so far this year or last year.

Skills is such a rewarding and exciting event, allowing athletes at a regional level to compete from the age of 8 – 18, with the introduction of the Group A category this year. We are proud to say that London Skills, is the first event to run Group A incorporated into the main Skills competition.

The region would like to extend its thanks to the staff and management at the London Aquatics Centre for their help and support of this event, along with the British Diving High-Performance Team and Dive London for their assistance in making this event happen.

Most importantly the region would like to extend its thanks to all the volunteers who supported the event on the day. Without the amazing volunteers events such as this really could not happen and we sincerely hope that next year will see an increase in both athlete and volunteer participation.
