Swim England London Regional Summers Championships 2023

On 22nd/23rd April and 29th/30th April & 1st May the London Region hosted the 2023 Swim England London Summer Championships across K2, Crawley and the London Aquatics Centre, London.

With a new format for this season the event brought together 876 swimmers for individual and relays events from over 40 clubs. The Summer Championships are an important fixture for many swimmers and for the Swim England competitive pathway. It does not just showcase the talent within London but for many swimmers it provides a platform to achieve times that will potentially rank them in the top of the county to attend the British Summer Championships 2023 or Swim England National Summer Meet 2023 in July and August respectively.

With both weekends seeing fast individual events and exciting relay finals it was a close battle between clubs to fight for the overall top points.

Camden Swiss Cottage SC achieved the most overall points finishing with 974 and had the highest points overall for the Women’s events. Chelsea & Westminster SC finished in second place with an overall point tally of 912.5 and had the highest overall points for the Men’s events. Coming in at third place overall was Bromley SC which had an overall total of 720.5 points.

The London Region extends a Thank You to Everyone Active and Better along with the management at K2 and LAC for allowing the London Region to host within their facilities. A huge Thank You is also needed for all the volunteers, parents and coaches that supported the event this year.
