Volunteer Training – Learn a New Skill

One of the ways in which clubs help volunteers feel valued is by offering training, and there are a number of options open to you when you give your time freely.

As a volunteer, clubs should offer you the opportunity of training. Young or old, there is usually something on offer.

It is a matter of ensuring you feel valued as well as making sure you have the right skills for the club.

According to one ASA Volunteer Co-ordinator: “The best way of thanking volunteers is to offer training that goes beyond what is expected. For example, we offer to pay for them to take their Level 1 teaching exam.”
