Inspired to swim: Vinay Parmar announced as One Swim England Summit speaker

Following the unveiling of Lead, Learn and Inspire as the guiding themes for The One Swim England Summit, the national governing body is now sharing a first glimpse of the voices who will bring those principles to life at The Vox, Birmingham on Thursday 19th March 2026.

First to be named as part of the inspiring line-up is Vinay Parmar, will deliver his “Inspired to Swim: How Moments Build Trust, And Lifelong Participation” keynote at the landmark event.

A keynote speaker and advisor, Parmar has helped organisations understand how experiences shape trust, behaviour and long-term participation with one single belief: the product of experience is memory, and those memories influence whether people return, stay involved and advocate.

After spending three decades working across transport, community services, public sector organisations and national governing bodies – including companies like National Express, Zoom and Cisco – Vinay brings with him a rare blend of strategic leadership and frontline understanding.

Utilising his breadth of expertise at The One Swim England Summit, Vinay will explore the ‘Inspire’ theme and how everyday moments in the aquatics pathway influence confidence and engagement. It will challenge attendees to reflect on the experiences they create and memories they leave behind.

Every interaction in the aquatics pathway is a vital building block in a learners journey to becoming a confident and competent swimmer. When those experiences and interactions are positive and productive, it means there is a greater chance that learners will return, progress and inspire the next generation of swimmers.

The One Swim England Summit is set to bring together everyone from the aquatics community – from pool and leisure operators to tutors, coaches, teachers, volunteers and poolside supporters – all the people united by a shared goal: creating great experiences in and around water.

As well a day packed with practical insights and opportunities to connect with likeminded peers, the day will also include thought-provoking sessions with keynote speakers and industry figures – all designed to help spark inspiration, empower innovation and share knowledge.
