A new digital platform for Swim England members and clubs
Swim England is introducing a new membership management platform later this year, built on the Sport:80 system. This new digital space is designed specifically to replace existing legacy systems (like the Online Membership System and Club Affiliation portal) and many manual processes with a simpler, more integrated experience that works better for everyone involved in aquatics.
What this means for members and clubs
The new platform will make everyday tasks faster and easier by bringing everything together in one place. It’ll make the tasks we ask of you that aren’t the most exciting and currently take longer than they should do much easier for you, giving you more time to focus on what matters – having a great time taking part in or supporting our sports
Members will be able to:
- Manage their membership and personal profile in one place.
- View and maintain qualifications, CPDs and credentials as needed.
- Register for events, workshops and development opportunities
- Receive digital credentials and membership ID
- Keep track of communications and updates relevant to them
Clubs will be able to:
- Manage member registrations and renewals.
- Complete club affiliation and compliance processes through the single platform.
- Assign and manage key club roles and personnel records.
- Upload required governance documents in a structured process.
- Access tools that support day-to-day club administration.
Thinking for the medium term
Our digital revolution isn’t going to happen overnight – we see it as an evolution over time. The new membership system will have a host of key features and time-saving measures for members and club volunteers from the get-go.
However, it won’t be a final product on day one. Our plans include to continue to evolve the platform as we move forward, with some features being held back if they aren’t quite right for our audiences or what we need the system to do. We’ll keep you posted on this over the coming months in the run up to going live this Autumn.
A better service for our community
The goal of the new platform is simple: to make interacting with Swim England easier, clearer and more reliable.
By reducing manual processes and improving how systems work together, the platform will help ensure that members, clubs and volunteers spend less time on administration and more time focusing on what matters most; participation, development and enjoyment of aquatics.
