Olympian Steve Parry to host Swim England National Awards

Olympic bronze medallist Steve Parry is to host the 2019 Swim England National Awards.

Steve, who was inducted into the Swim England Hall of Fame in October, will be at the Great Hall, University of Birmingham, on Saturday 30 November to help honour the award winners.

He won won a bronze medal in the 200m Butterfly at the 2004 Olympics in Athens and is well-known for his work as a tireless campaigner to improve learn to swim provision

All the regional winners are in contention for the National Awards in the following categories:

  • Youth Volunteer of the Year
  • Volunteer of the Year
  • Technical Official of the Year
  • Club of the Year
  • Coach of the Year
  • Long Service Award to Aquatics
  • Youth Achievement Award
  • Adult Achievement Award
  • Personal Achievement Award

Awards will also be presented to Talent Athlete of the Year for swimming, diving, synchronised swimming and water polo.

All the finalists will be revealed by Swim England in the run up to the event.
