Swim England and Leisure Loop announce partnership to drive sustainability across the aquatics sector
5 June 2026Swim England has announced a new partnership with Leisure Loop, marking the next step in a shared mission to support leisure operators in reducing their environmental impact and building more sustainable facilities.
The new collaboration will see Leisure Loop join Swim England’s sector-leading Business Solutions portfolio, providing operators with access to innovative recycling systems that help turn pool waste into valuable resources.
The partnership builds on Swim England’s recognition of Leisure Loop’s work in 2025, when the organisation praised its pioneering work in advancing sustainability across the aquatics sector. Since then, both organisations have identified an opportunity to work more closely together to expand the reach and impact of that work nationwide.
Leisure Loop’s closed-loop recycling scheme enables pools to collect and repurpose used swimming equipment – from goggles and floats to swim caps and flip flops – diverting waste away from landfill and transforming it into new products for use within leisure environments.
By integrating Leisure Loop into its Business Solutions offer, Swim England is providing its network of operators with access to a trusted, proven service that delivers both environmental and operational value – available with an exclusive offer.
Alex Hains, Head of Business Engagement at Swim England, said: “Following our recognition of Leisure Loop’s work last year, it became clear there was a natural opportunity to work more closely together.
“At Swim England, we are committed to supporting operators with solutions that deliver real value. This partnership reflects our approach of working with trusted, established organisations that can help our partners grow sustainably and meet the evolving expectations of their communities. Leisure Loop is already demonstrating the impact that innovative thinking can have in reducing waste across the sector, and we’re excited to help scale that impact further.”
Cameron Manson, Co-Founder of Leisure Loop discusses the partnership, saying: “We’re incredibly proud to be working alongside Swim England to help make swim equipment recycling accessible to more facilities and swimmers across the country.
“When we launched Leisure Loop, the vision was simple: make recycling old swim equipment as normal as recycling paper or plastic bottles. By working together, we have an opportunity to educate operators, swimmers and the wider aquatics sector, keeping valuable materials in use for longer and helping establish a new standard for sustainability within swimming.
This collaboration is an exciting step forward for the industry and demonstrates what can be achieved when organisations come together with a shared purpose. We’re looking forward to supporting more facilities, engaging more swimmers and continuing to build a circular future for the sport.”
The latest partnership also aligns with Swim England’s broader ambition to strengthen its role as a leader in environmental sustainability, as it prepares to launch its first dedicated strategy later this year.
By working collaboratively with organisations like Leisure Loop, Swim England aims to influence positive change across the sector, supporting operators to adopt more sustainable practices while enhancing the value of their facilities and programmes.
