Swim England Library

The Swim England Library is located at SportPark in Loughborough, the home of British Swimming and Swim England.

For many years the library, which used to be situated at the then ASA’s Harold Fern House, was tucked away in boxes, on shelves, out of the way for many to be able to see or research.

With the move to new premises in 2010, British Swimming and the then ASA moved its library to a new permanent home in SportPark.

Old Minute Books, Handbooks, and copies of Swimming Times, along with other books associated with our sport have been catalogued. Also available are old swimming programmes, newspaper articles, pictures, videos, medals, and more going back two centuries.

During 2016 the library was revamped and in November it was officially opened by local MP for Loughborough, Nicky Morgan.

We offer a service to people researching our sports to be able to come along and use these resources. Whatever your reason – research into books, degrees, history of you club – you are welcome to visit the Swim England library.
