U17s and U19s Water Polo National Age Group Championships finals cancelled

This weekend’s U17s and U19s Swim England Water Polo National Age Group Championship finals have been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances at the Liverpool Aquatics Centre.

Tournament director, Mike Hesketh, said: “Due to the glass in the pool and on poolside, and the lack of lighting in the pool area, we have unfortunately had to cancel the event.

“This is because we cannot ensure athlete and spectator safety. The decision has been made on the advice of the venue.

“We will be in touch in due course with all competitors and spectators involved with the event.”
