New British Swimming team kit revealed

Double Paralympic Champion Ollie Hynd and Olympic Champions Chris Mears and Jack Laugher were in Plymouth today to help unveil the new British Swimming team kit.

Part of the new eight year partnership with TYR, the team kit was launched on the eve of the British National Diving Cup in Plymouth and featured a line-up of six British athletes.

Joining Hynd, Mears and Laugher to showcase the new TYR range was Olympic medallist Dan Goodfellow, Olympic finalist and European Champion Grace Reid and European Junior medallist and Plymouth Leander swimmer Laura Stephens.

Commenting at the kit launch, Ollie Hynd said:

Representing my country at the top level is what motivates me and it’s great to welcome TYR on board to support us as we prepare for this year’s World Championships and beyond.

The kit looks and feels very smart and I’ll be really proud to take to the starting blocks later this year.

Dan Goodfellow added:

It’s exciting to see our new kit – it looks great. It’s always special to wear your national kit and represent your country and TYR have done a great job with designing the new kit.

It’s going to be a busy year ahead with the World Series and the World Championships in the summer and I can’t wait to get back to competing this weekend.

The sponsorship deal also extends across the three home nation governing bodies, with the English national kit due to be unveiled in the spring.
