…over three distances; 5 metres, 10 metres and 25 metres. These Awards offer swimmers a further challenge after they have attained the Rainbow Distance Awards. Why should we deliver the Rainbow Distance Stroke Awards as part of our lessons programme?
It is vital that swimmers develop correct stroke techniques as early as possible and the Rainbow Distance Stroke Awards can be used to reward and encourage the development of good standards and ensure Swim England Expected Standards are met across each of the four recognised swimming strokes.
These Awards also help to keep swimmers motivated and engaged, especially as swimmers often take longer to achieve the later stages of the Learn to Swim Programme.
