About these resources

The Swim England National Youth Advisory Panel have developed these two resources with the purpose of helping your club members under 18 to know where to access help and support when they need it.

It is very important that these resources are distributed to your young members so that every child feels part of a safe and inclusive aquatic community and knows who to contact when they feel that they need to talk to someone, whether it be Swimline, Childline, a trusted adult at the club or their parent/guardian.

The resources have been created in a simple and easy to read format, targeting both younger children and teenagers.

They are pocket sized so they can be carried in a wallet, swim bag or simply downloaded onto your smart phone or tablet. Importantly this means children can talk to someone whenever they feel the need to.

The safety and wellbeing of our young members is at the heart of what we do, so please request these resources and make sure the aquatic community remains a place where everyone feels safe and secure.

The resources are available to purchase from the Swim England shop.

Mental Health Flowchart

The Mental Health Referral Flowchart shows how swimmers can access help and advice if they are struggling with mental health.

This is a great resource to share with your club, or print and display poolside.

Health Fact Sheets for Competitive Swimmers

Swim England’s Health Commission group have developed a range of fact sheets on swimming with particular health conditions. These are written for competitive swimmers, the general public and to also assist those who support or advise swimmers.

The fact sheets for people supporting competitive swimmers can be downloaded below:
