Our teams

We employ a diverse range of people with a wide breadth of knowledge and experience across our departments at Swim England:

We also work in conjunction with the Institute of Swimming: the largest provider of Swim England courses and swimming qualifications.

Diversity Confident

Following on from our ‘England Swims’ insight work in 2022, we recognise that we should aspire to our workforce being as diverse as the communities it represents. As a result, we believe that positive action is justified and have therefore chosen to extend our existing ‘Disability Confident’ commitment and guaranteed interview scheme to also include ethnically diverse applicants, in a pilot project titled ‘Diversity Confident’.

Whilst Disability Confident has been established for a number of years, our ‘Diversity Confident’ commitment will initially be piloted for a 6-month period from January-June 2023.

We will continue to apply the principles of the Disability Confident scheme in the same way. During the pilot project, ethnically diverse applicants can ‘opt in’ to the Diversity Confident scheme when applying for a role with us. Provided the application meets all of the essential criteria for the role, applicants will be guaranteed an interview. As per our existing recruitment processes, all applications will remain anonymous until the point of interview, thereby ensuring objectivity when assessing whether an applicant has met the essential criteria.
