Swim England excited to support popular learn to swim conference

A popular learn to swim conference is being supported by Swim England.

Community Leisure UK’s third Learn to Swim Conference is taking place on Wednesday 17 March between 9.30am and 4pm.

Swim England and Swim Wales have joined forces with Community Leisure UK for the virtual conference, which will discuss key topics relating to swimming and feature specialist speakers and engaging workshops.

Katie Towner, Swim England’s head of learn to swim, said: “We’re are excited to be supporting the event. 

“We look forward to engaging with providers to support the return of aquatic activities by creating and supporting programmes that enable everyone to be active, have fun and stay healthy.”

Rachel Sim, Community Leisure UK’s project and research officer, said “We’re really pleased to be partnering with Swim England and Swim Wales for our third annual Learn to Swim Conference.

“We hope as many organisations as possible will be able to join us on this informative and interactive day.”

Exciting opportunities

Hanna Guise, Swim Wales’ national learn to swim manager, added: “2021 is the first year that Swim Wales are collaborating on this event.

“The workshops available will provide operators and their workforce with some exciting opportunities to support their customers with an aquatically active recovery out of lockdown restrictions.”

The conference costs £10 for first delegate and £5 for any additional delegate from the same organisation.
